Monument Signs

A freestanding sign that is detached from a building and having a support structure that is a solid-appearing base constructed of a permanent material, such as aluminum, concrete block or brick. All other freestanding sign types not meeting the definition of a monument sign shall be either a pole sign or a pylon sign.

Monument sign means a two-sided sign attached to a permanent foundation or decorative base and not attached or dependent on support from any building, pole, posts or similar uprights. Monument signs include ground signs.
